The communities of South Central Los Angeles have been plagued by crime and violence for decades. But on Election Day voters in Watts and Compton spoke of hope while waiting in lines that stretched for blocks. Showing overwhelming support for Barack Obama, many reflected on their own lives punctuated by the race riots of the 60's and the 90's.
