On June 26, 2008, John Yoo and David Addington, two leading architects of the Bush administration's policies on torture, testified before the House Judiciary Committee. Even seemingly simple questions yielded evasive answers.

Yoo and Addingtton do not deal in theoretical questions
It's interesting that the point of the committees question was not moral, but legal. The witnesses were making moral answers out of legal questions. I wonder what category of argument fallacy this falls under?
