Muslim McCain Fans Confront Intolerance At Rally

At a John McCain rally in Woodbridge, Virginia, three people handed out "Obama for Change" bumper stickers with the Communist sickle and hammer and the Islamic crescent, saying Obama was a socialist with ties to radical Islam. Several moderate McCain supporters, Muslim and Christian alike, struck back - relentlessly bombarding the group distributing the flyers until they left the premises.

Yea they are not being killed by the thousands anymore at the mercy of "Chemical Ali"

Kurdish girl: Obama should what?

I can't quite hear what the Kurdish girl says near the end... "I think Obama should get his ash...?" Was it "ass kicked"? I could see Kurds being a group that doesn't like Obama, being that Kurds are the one group (aside from AQ) that comes out well from the war in Iraq.

Thank God

First off, let me make it clear that I'm an Obama supporter. Having seen some of the garbage that SOME McCain supporters have been spewing, including the bumper sticker idiots, I'm very pleased to see responsibly acting McCain supporters.

Contrary to the fiction of one comment here, I saw no sign of bumpersticker people being threatened or shouted down. All I saw was a group of McCain supporters who were offended and trying to keep from losing support for their candidate. And there really was nothing unconstitutional going on. Not all things that are ugly and stupid are necessarily unconstitutional.

However, I AM sad to see people still support putting Palin as second in command with this guy basically spewing the same idiotic vomit that's been coming from her mouth.

I want, for once, a president that whom I trust, and who inspires me and others to do what is right for this country and my fellow Americans as well as for the world. Obama '08

News ?!

So why is this newsworthy? IS it because the media wants to create a controversy anytime they can and call it NEWS. Hey, the guy with the bumperstickers has the perfect right to raise questions about Obama's religion, wherever and whenever, AND by the same token the Muslim people have the right to tell him they don't like it, being grouped with Russia seemed to be the complaint, or anything else they want to object to. Seems like the McCain representative really should have just been there to ensure this remained a peaceful disagreement. Hey, we are not going to always get along, that is nothing new. Just don't understand why this is news.

Me it is tterrible :(

Hello! Recently has read in news that re-testing
of Large Hadron Collider will be conducted :(
Me it is terrible :(

Unconstitutional?

There are three things that are offensive thing about this situation:
1) Because this persons free speech offends someone, and it is not "vulgar" speech which is not protected by the constitution (per the Supreme Court), all of a sudden someone wants to call it unconstitutional? Come ON!

2) If it had been a cross of that bumpersticker, NO ONE would have raised an eyebrow. THAT is discrimination.

3) Nothing about what the man said, in the film at least, was bigoted towards islam. The man raised a legitimate question. Is Barack Obama being honest about being a Christian? The man said he wanted people to know about Barack's ties to Islam. That he was fathered by a mostly Arab muslim man. That he attended an Islamic school. That he stated in one of his books that if it came down to it he would support islam over christianity. When you are trying to lead a nation that has been and was founded as a Christian nation, THESE ARE LEGITIMATE, NOT BIGOTED, QUESTIONS.

Free speech was abused that day, but not by the guy with bumper stickers. It was abused by those that shouted him down and made him feel threatend. Reason with him if you disagree with him. Don't stick a video camera in his face and start accusing him of being bigoted and then work the crowd into a panic about. That isn't reporting. That is maury povich.

The Big Picture

The United States Bill of Rights offers freedom of religion as well as freedom of speech. I think people on both sides of this issues confuse politics and religion too much. In the United States you have the right to be a part of any religion whether it is demeaning to woman or believes that aliens are coming to redeem your sole. And the right to speak about those believes in a public forum is also inherently American. In fact in this particular video the McCain party organizer was the repressive party, trampling on the US Bill of Rights by confronting the Obama slanderers. In actuality only Obama himself could take issue with those bumper stickers. And it would be up to him to file a labial suite in a court of law.

The judgments made by the McCain representative may have been what was best for McCain in that situation however the opinion expressed by the Obama slanderer is one that is shared very strongly by the christian conservative party which is obviously McCain's largest voter base. Until McCain publicly addresses this issue he will be accepting votes not on the basis of his political beliefs of or what his policies can offer for this country but he will be accepting votes for his campaign from uninformed and religiously biased individuals who's votes are driven purely by fear of what they don't understand.

Of course this is rampant on both sides of the ticket due to the increasingly misinformed voter, which is why reporting such as that done by the news agency that put this video together is so important and needs a place in the public arena.

There is hope...

It's good to see that there are some in the GOP standing up to the terror extremists that have largely infiltrated the party. Kudos for winning one battle, but there's substantial more to fight before the GOP begins to restore a worthy image.

NOT staged

This confrontation was most certainly NOT staged. My son is in this video. He's the one with the sticker on his forehead (go ahead and make fun, we did!). He was at that rally with his friend and coworker, Sabat (the Kurdish girl). She also brought along two of her friends. Those three are Muslim. The confrontation started before the camera man arrived, and went on for quite a bit longer than shown here. My son and his friends did not know the other people in this video.
My son was raised in a Christian home. He was taught to respect all races and religions and judge each person as an individual. I am proud of my son and his friends. It sickens me to read the vile things being said about them on blogs all over the internet. These kids did a noble thing. They should be applauded. I am proud of all of them. I feel sorry for all the cold hearted, cynical people who can't accept this for what it is.

Muslim McCain fans

This was a set up! Nothing about it was authentic, I have watched it several times and it is obviously staged. More crap from the crazy McCain campaign.

Muslim mc Cain fans

As a Muslem myself, it bring me great pleasure to see those Muslems fans of the right wing racist be treated that way.Welcome to reality.Obama 08.

crescents

Phew! Thank Allah/yaweh/jehovah/krishna/jesus/gaia et al that these McCain supporters understand the US constitution and were unafraid to challenge the constitutional infidel/apostate/heretic/canvasser! Now, why don't they go on and educate McCain and Palin, too.

Wow...

That was a pleasant surprise... wish more McCain supporters would confront the more outrageous and frankly over the line ones at his events.
